Imperial Patisserie, founded in 2018, is a local brand rooted in Hong Kong. As a representative of high-end pastries in Hong Kong, it inherits a century-old baking craftsmanship through meticulous artistry, selecting high-quality ingredients from around the world to create classic souvenirs that blend tradition and modernity, embodying the transmission and innovation of Hong Kong’s pastry culture. With exceptional craftsmanship, Imperial Patisserie’s lava mooncakes have won the highest honor, the “Grand Gold Award,” at the Monde Selection for seven consecutive years since 2019, making it the only Hong Kong brand recognized globally for both lava and traditional mooncakes.
In the 2025 “Monde Selection,” Imperial Patisserie’s traditional mooncakes, lava mooncakes, palmiers, egg rolls, and crispy cookies all received the “Grand Gold Award.” This achievement marks the first time in the 63-year history of the award that a Hong Kong pastry brand has simultaneously won the highest honors for both mooncakes and the pastry series.
Imperial Patisserie operates its own factory and has assembled a team of renowned pastry masters, including Yip Wing Hah, the original creator of custard mooncakes at the Peninsula Hotel, and his sole successor, Michelin-starred pastry chef Lai Wing Koon. Together, they have developed the innovative “Four Stage Temperature Control Precision Baking Methods” to create Hong Kong’s No.1 Most Loved Palmiers*.
As of today, Imperial Patisserie has established up to 40 shops across Hong Kong, with a network that spans the entire region.
*According to the results of a December 2025 Yahoo Hong Kong survey on palmiers.
