Imperial Patisserie was founded in Hong Kong in 2018, adhering to the concept of inheriting traditional pastries while boldly innovating and evolving. Combining craftsmanship with modern technology, with a focus on producing high-quality pastries in its own factory in Hong Kong. Our Michelin-starred Master Chef Team, including Master Chef Yip Wing Wah, the founder of The Peninsula Hotel’s custard mooncakes, and Master Chef Lai Wing Koon, a Michelin 2-starred chef and the only inheritor of Chef Yip Wing Wah. They meticulously handpicked quality ingredients, to bringing out the natural tastes and create a wide range of products including Mooncake series, Palmiers series, and the Hong Kong Story souvenir series representing Hong Kong’s unique characteristics, establishing a Hong Kong souvenir brand that locals can be proud of.

Ming Artisan has strategically expanded its presence across key markets, including Shanghai, Macau, and Singapore. Currently, Ming Artisan has opened 8 self-operated shops nationwide, located in the major cities of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Ningbo. Among them, Shanghai has 4 shops, Shenzhen has 2, Guangzhou and Ningbo has 1 respectively. With a strategic vision for global expansion, Ming Artisan is poised to bring its unique offerings to international markets, advancing its mission of “Gifted to the World”.

Imperial Patisserie Group was established

Imperial Patisserie Group was founded with a self-owned factory spanning over 100,000 square feet in Hong Kong. The factory is constructed in accordance with GMP standards and has obtained ISO22000:2018 and HACCP management system certifications.

2019

The first Imperial Patisserie shop opened in Hong Kong

Imperial Patisserie Hong Kong opened its first store in Tsim Sha Tsui, marking a significant milestone in the group's business development.

The Lava Custard Mooncake has won the first world award

The Lava Custard Mooncakes launched by the Imperial Patisserie team have won the highest "Grand Gold Award" at the "Monde Selection" for the first time, making it the first Lava Custard Mooncake series in Hong Kong to receive this honor.

Received Halal Certification

Achieved internationally recognized Halal certification, proving that the products do not contain pork, lard, or their processed ingredients. Furthermore, it has undergone rigorous review by the certification body to ensure that the source of ingredients, production process, packaging, storage, and other items comply with Halal standards.

Selected as gifts for HKSAR Government celebrations

In 2021 and 2022, Imperial Patisserie was invited by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for two consecutive years to become the designated VIP gift brand for the Hong Kong SAR's anniversary and National Day celebrations.

The Ming Artisan was established

Introduced the first Hong Kong Stories Series

2024

Launched Hong Kong's first "Low Sugar Lava Mooncake"

After more than three years of research and development, the team launched Hong Kong's first "Low Sugar Lava Custard Mooncake" series with a sugar content of less than 5%. Each piece contains as little as 1.1 grams of sugar, balancing health and deliciousness.

Imperial Patisserie and Ming Artisan received further honors

Imperial Patisserie and Ming Yue both awarded the highest honor, the Three-Star Award at the AA Taste Awards. Additionally, selected as one of the "Best 100," becoming one of the world's top 100 outstanding food producers.

Ming Artisan has officially entered the mainland market

In May, the first shop was opened in Lujiazui Center in Shanghai, followed by new shops in Shanghai Langham Hotel, Shanghai Jiuguang Department shop and Shanghai North Bund Raffles City Plaza.

Imperial Patisserie and Ming Artisan officially entered Hong Kong Ocean Park

Imperial Patisserie and Ming Artisan shops have officially landed in Hong Kong Ocean Park, launching the only official co-branded Panda series, with a portion of the proceeds donated to charity for conservation purposes.

Ming Artisan opened the First Store in Guangzhou

Ming Artisan opened its first store in Guangzhou's Parc Central, actively expanding its market. To date (2025), the number of stores in China has increased to 7, continuing to expand its presence.
